ISC’s Secondary School is a vibrant environment where students in Grades 6–12 thrive. Our community is supported by dedicated professionals who embody the school’s mission and vision through their teaching practices and daily interactions. We are committed to providing an international education that shapes globally minded citizens. In Grades 6–10, we implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP), encouraging students to connect their learning to real-world contexts. This program builds a strong foundation for academic excellence and personal growth, leading into the IB Diploma Program (IBDP) for Grades 11 and 12. As Principal of the Secondary School, I am passionate about empowering students to reach their fullest potential. I strive to inspire collaboration among staff, students, and families, fostering a community that values achievement, well-being, and respect. Our IBDP offers a rigorous academic experience that prepares students for higher education in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., the Netherlands, and beyond. Our teachers come from diverse international backgrounds, bringing a wealth of experience from schools and universities around the world. This global perspective enriches our classrooms and helps students appreciate the value of multiple viewpoints, cultural understanding, and open-minded inquiry—key attributes of international education. Learning at ISC extends far beyond the classroom. Students are encouraged to develop leadership, teamwork, and service through a wide range of extracurricular programs. From varsity sports and artistic performances to community service initiatives, Global Issues Network (GIN), Model United Nations (MUN), and membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), students discover their passions and make meaningful contributions to both the school and the broader community. At the heart of everything we do is the IB Learner Profile. We intentionally cultivate these ten attributes—Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, and Reflective—through academic inquiry, reflection, and community engagement. These qualities guide our students in becoming not only successful learners but also compassionate, responsible, and ethical individuals prepared to make a difference in an interconnected world.
